Artist Tour with Alexander Dettmar
Zeitspuren. Alexander Dettmar - Paintings
Special Exhibition at the Worpsweder Kunsthalle
Alexander Dettmar, recipient of the Barlach Prize, has artistically captured the beauty and power of Worpswede since his early youth. After achieving great success in the metropolises of the world, the painter is repeatedly drawn back to his homeland around Worpswede and the Teufelsmoor. The Worpswede Art Hall showcases selected works that, with painterly vigor, bridge the worlds of Worpswede and Paris—a connection that was pivotal for the first generation of Worpswede artists, including Paula Modersohn-Becker, her husband Otto Modersohn, Bernhard Hoetger, and the poet Rainer Maria Rilke.
